India is the seventh largest country in the world by area and with over a billion people, is second only to China in population. It’s an extremely diverse country, with vast differences in geography, climate, culture, language and ethnicity across its expanse. India prides itself on being the largest democracy on Earth.

This expedition will take you up into the Himalayas, the highest mountain range in the world. You will see just how diverse India is, from Buddhist in the north to Hindu shrines in the central plains. You will also get to see one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal, the greatest monument built for love. 

In the Ladakh region sometimes called ‘little Tibet’. This is the land of the high passes. It is a beautiful landscape of snow-capped peaks, desert like plateaus and rocky valleys. It has a predominately Buddhist population, with white stupas and colourful temples, very different from other parts of India.
