SAFETY...

We at Global Footprints as part of our safety back up use;

  • GPS tracking device, which enables you to follow and monitor the team’s journey
  • throughout their expedition. This can also be activated to alert the UK Incident response manager, if the team require emergency assistance, and constantly monitor the team’s movements and location.
  • We also use have in-country mobile phones, so the leader can communicate with our dedicated Incident response manager or Director who can offer “Real time” support and guidance in the event of an incident.
  • We have in-country back up and support from all our in country agents and support staff working in remote locations, that have local knowledge, contacts and resources to assist, react and help manage any incidents that may occur in country
  • Dedicated named Emergency Response Manager back in the UK,
  • who will deal with issues from start to finish
  • All leaders carry comprehensive medical kits and are fully trained and competent to administer First aid and medicines.
  • All teams and individuals have comprehensive insurance cover which includes medical care, repatriation and travel disruption and expenses as part of a very thorough Policy facilitated by Allianz. This means there is never a financial impact in the event of a major incident.
