TANZANIA

One of our projects, with ‘Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need’, has so far led to a Brand new school being built by our teams over the last 12 years. It started with a water pump being installed to service the entire community’s needs. We have constructed 8 classrooms, nursery, library, kitchen, and a toilet block since 2011. In addition, more recently an accommodation building for young venerable students has also been added to the school by our UK school teams. An impressive feat.

• Anna set up KYGN for girls who otherwise would not have gone to school

• Given a free education to hundreds of Vulnerable and impoverished children

• Supply 1 hot meal and clean drinking water to hundreds of children in the poorest region in the Kilimanjaro Valley

• In 2006 there were only 20 girls in the old KYGN building (That was being rented)

• Now there are over 700 children being educated and looked after in their own buildings and land they now own

• KYGN has its own sustainable farm and vegetable patch which provides some of the food for over 700 children

•   Includes accommodation for over 50 Vulnerable Children
